As learning and development professionals, we are very aware of making sure our training design addresses the key competency learners need in order to perform their jobs successfully. But how aware are we of what the competencies for our own profession are?

Holly Batts from ATD National will join us for our September COP event and lead our conversation around the competencies ATD, a leader in the learning and development field, has set forth for our profession. This is a great opportunity to learn more about existing credentials such as APTD and CPLP and other opportunities outside the immediate DC Metro Chapter.

Holly Batts is associate director of ATD's Certification Institute, with more than 15 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector. Her background in developing and maintaining certification programs includes mid- to high-stakes assessments, extensive work with organizing SMEs, and a thorough understanding of the certification process. Holly has an MS in organizational leadership, as well as the Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Association Executive (CAE) certifications.

Please note: Programs begin at 6:00 with informal networking and refreshments until around 6:20 when the evening's formal program begins. Programs end at 8:00. We provide light snacks and bottled water. Attendees are encouraged to bring light meals with them, such as sandwiches, wraps or salads. There are several limited service eating establishments within a few blocks of Founders Hall that offer such fare.

If you register and are no longer able to attend, please send an email to cop_instructional_design@dcatd.org.
