1. What motivated you to join the Metro DC ATD Chapter?
Initially, it was a group membership with my federal agency. But with all the great resources from the informative resources, speakers, and networking events the local chapter provided I was able to build my business and step out on my own as a Career Coach/Federal Job Search Trainer, Training and Leadership Development Consultant (www.dcslearn.com).
2. What do you currently do within the Talent and Development field?
I previously served as the lead for the Metro DC ATD Government of Practice from 2018-2021. It was a great experience and my participation in the chapter enriched not only my career but also my network.
In my current day-to-day, I organize and plan events catering to the needs of the government workers, consultants, contractors, and anyone who has an interest in local, state, or the federal government or even international government work.
3. Which Metro DC ATD program or event would you recommend to members and why?
Of course, ALL the Metro DC ATD Community of Practice (CoP) events -- Government, Leadership Development/Coaching, Independent Consultant, and Instructional Design as well as the chapter's YouTube channel. Wonderful speakers at ALL events!
