Get to Know Lori

1. What motivated you to join the Metro DC ATD Chapter?

As an independent trainer I thought it was important to get involved with the local chapter to network and learn from other trainers. That was a great strategy as not only did I expand my network, I also developed great relationships that go well beyond colleagues.

2. What do you currently do within the Talent and Development field?

I work both with direct clients and other training professionals to facilitate programs focused on critical communication skills such as public speaking, thinking on your feet, impactful interpersonal communication, virtual presentations, team collaboration, and customer engagement. I was previously active in the Free Agents Community of Practice (COP) and look forward to ramping up my involvement with this and other COPs into 2021.

3. Which Metro DC ATD program or event would you recommend to members and why?

This past year and into 2021 the value of networking cannot be overlooked. The nature of training has changed significantly during the pandemic and I think will continue well into the near future.
