Vice President of Chapter Networking

Purpose: The Vice President, Networking leads the strategy, planning, and oversight of the chapter’s networking and community engagement portfolio. This role is responsible for creating meaningful engagement opportunities that strengthen member connection, chapter visibility, volunteer involvement, and overall member value.

This position reports directly to the President of the Metro DC ATD Board.

Reports to: VP, Chapter Networking

Term: 1 Year

Time Commitment: 15-25 hours per month

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Lead the strategic direction, planning, and execution of chapter networking and engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee key programs and events, including Coffee & Networking, Networking Committee Sessions, Problem Solving & Walking, DC ATD Virtual Connect, Chapter Engagement at ATD ICE, Summer Social, Leaders in Learning, and Book Exchange initiatives.
  • Collaborate across board portfolios to support member engagement, sponsor visibility, and chapter community-building efforts.
  • Provide operational oversight, volunteer coordination, and reporting related to networking and engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor participation trends, engagement feedback, and event effectiveness to support continuous improvement and sustainability.

Board Terms / Participation

  • One-year board term with eligibility for extension in alignment with chapter bylaws.
  • Attend at least two (2) chapter events per quarter. 
  • Participate in board collaboration, governance reviews, and portfolio reporting activities.
