What You Need to Know

Your are eligible if:

  • You have been a Metro DC ATD for at least 3 months.
  • Your dues are up-to-date.
  • You are actively involved in the chapter.
  • You are or are willing to become a national ATD member.

You will have a chance to:

  • Network with chapter leaders from Metro DC and around the USA as well as top talent development professionals from our region.
  • Build your leadership capabilities.
  • Grow personally and professionally through mentorship and support from fellow Board members.
  • Give back to your profession and shape its future!

Success includes: 

  • Attendance at bi-monthly Board meetings (held the second Saturday morning of each month).
  • Participation in our annual strategic planning session (held in November).
  • Communication and collaboration with Board members and volunteers to achieve your position’s goals.

Election Process Dates:

  • August 
    • Nominations accepted
    • Candidates interview with Nominations Committee to confirm eligibility
    • Membership notified of candidates/slate and update about election voting dates
  • September
    • Election ballot open for voting, Host one virtual candidate event
    • Final election results announced to membership
  • October
    • New Board members begin onboarding
